Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to maintain sterilization records, operate equipment, and ensure cleanliness of instruments and containers. The role requires knowledge of sterilization standards and infection control, with attention to instrumentation and proper documentation.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree (preferred), a high school diploma or equivalent, and a technical/vocational background, plus CRCST/CSPDT certifications are commonly required by

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English required.
• Knowledge of sterilization standards required.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation required.
• Knowledge and practice of infection control techniques and medical terminology required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of sterilization activities and inventory levels.
• Operate sterilization equipment and inspect instruments, equipment, and containers for cleanliness and proper function.
• Perform decontamination of soiled instruments, containers, and equipment per IFUs and established protocols.
• Correct instrument sets according to current standards, count sheets, and/or instrument tracking systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
