An educational technology company is seeking a Senior Visual Designer to contribute to their unified design system. You’ll design high-fidelity UI components and collaborate with teams to deliver impactful learning experiences. Ideal candidates have 5-7 years of visual design experience, especially with Figma, and a strong foundation in typography. As a Sr Visual Designer on the Design Systems team, you’ll play a critical role in establishing our unified design system across Pearson’s Higher Education product portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to design at the foundational level—creating the visual language, components, and patterns that will shape how millions of learners and educators interact with our products.
In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of visual design excellence and systematic thinking. You’ll design high‑fidelity components and interfaces that balance aesthetic sophistication with scalability, ensuring every interaction feels purposeful and every screen reflects visual consistency. Your work will directly influence product teams across Pearson as they build the next generation of learning experiences in an increasingly AI‑native landscape.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: the minimum full‑time salary range is between $110,000 – $130,000.
