Jobbeschreibung

The Technology Solutions Advanced Specialist leads complex, cross-system analysis for Pearson Professional Assessment (PPA) product, platform, operational, integration, and data initiatives. This role serves as a senior business analyst and domain expert, helping shape solution direction, resolve ambiguity, align stakeholders, mentor peers, and improve analysis standards across teams.

The Advanced Specialist works across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, Security, Operations, Client Services, and leadership stakeholders to ensure PPA business needs are translated into scalable, maintainable, reusable, and operationally sound technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end analysis for complex initiatives involving multiple Pearson systems, workflows, data domains, integrations, teams, or stakeholder groups.
  • Use AI-assisted analysis for complex requirement synthesis, gap detection, stakeholder alignment, process comparison, dependency identification, and data insight generation.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, decision forums, design alignment sessions, and cross-functional requirement reviews.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into product/system capabilities, process models, integration requirements, data requirements, operational impacts, and delivery-ready backlog artifacts.
  • Own requirements strategy, traceability, dependency analysis, impact assessments, and risk identification for complex or ambiguous work.
  • Drive alignment between Product, Engineering, Architecture, CX, Data, Security, QA, Operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Promote maintainable, reusable, and holistic solutions that reduce unnecessary customization, minimize technical debt, and support company standards.
  • Define and improve templates, practices, examples, and quality expectations for requirements, user stories, process flows, data mapping, and stakeholder documentation.
  • Develop reusable AI prompts, checklists, and templates that improve BSA productivity and consistency.
  • Provide advanced data analysis and insight generation to support business decisions, prioritization, operational improvements, and reporting requirements.
  • Mentor peers through artifact review, facilitation support, domain coaching, and feedback.
  • Support release and operational readiness by ensuring requirements decisions, dependencies, signoffs, documentation, and handoffs are complete; testing execution remains owned by QA/business partners.
  • Identify AI-enabled process improvement and automation opportunities across Pearson VUE workflows, documentation practices, routing, analysis, and reporting.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Advanced requirements leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder influence.
  • Strong systems thinking across business processes, applications, data, integrations, security, operations, and support models.
  • Ability to resolve ambiguity, synthesize complex information, and recommend practical options.
  • Strong written communication, executive-ready summarization, and decision documentation.
  • Advanced data analysis and ability to define actionable reporting, metrics, and dashboard requirements.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and raise the quality of analysis across teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, product delivery, backlog management, and release readiness.
  • Ability to balance customer needs, operational constraints, scalability, maintainability, risk, and delivery feasibility.
  • AI fluency and ability to identify practical, governed AI use cases for work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5-8+ years of business analysis, business systems analysis, systems/product analysis, data analysis, or technology delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives in Agile, hybrid, or enterprise delivery environments.
  • Experience with systems integration, APIs, data flows, reporting, operational workflows, and platform/process modernization.
  • IIBA certification, Agile certification, Certification/licensure from a Pearson Professional Assessment partner, IT-related badges, and/or test assessments experience strongly preferred but not required.
