Vail Resorts in the mountains is hiring Snowmakers for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. You will be responsible for the manufactured snow production and support the snowmaking team to create optimal snow conditions for guests and athletes.

Starting pay ranges from $25.25 to $30.61 per hour, with full-time seasonal shifts. Candidates must be 18+, fluent in English, have a valid driver's license, and be able to work outdoors in alpine environments with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• English fluency required.
• Experience with snowmaking equipment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate all transportation vehicles per SOPs.
• Understand and teach snowmaking quality checks.
• Assist snowmaking lead with day-to-day operations.
• Operate pumps, compressors and snow guns.
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and buildings.
• Complete tasks unsupervised.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Job Responsibilities

• Operate all transportation vehicles as per the standard operating procedures
• Understand and teach proper snowmaking quality checks
• Assist snowmaking lead with day-to-day operations
• Understand and operate snowmaking pumps, compressors, manual and automated snowmaking guns
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and buildings as directed
• Ability to complete assigned tasks while unsupervised
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Previous experience operating/maintaining heavy machinery; snowmaking experience preferred
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lb

The expected pay range is $25.25/hr - $30.61/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
