Responsibilities

Job Summary / Purpose: The RN-Clinic functions as a vital member of the healthcare team, contributing to the success of the practice through customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork. The RN spends 40% or more of their time assisting physicians by documenting patient visits and executing physician instructions within clinic policies. They utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for specific patient populations and their families.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Performs and directs patient care following clinic workflows, including admission interviews, documentation, and managing patient flow.
  2. Accompanies physicians into exam rooms or connects remotely via audio, documenting all aspects of care in the EMR, including CC, HPI, PE, and patient plans.
  3. Works directly with physicians to ensure proper documentation of patient visits.
  4. Understands physician practice patterns and key terms to ensure efficient real-time documentation.
  5. Triage patient care, prioritize emergency cases, prepare and sterilize rooms, restock instruments, and assist with clinic setup.
  6. Assists healthcare providers with exams, treatments, procedures, and testing, including performing phlebotomy and lab procedures, communicating results, and obtaining necessary consent.
  7. Provides patient and family education on healthcare management, disease processes, treatments, and follow-up care, maintaining educational materials.
  8. Prepares patients for encounters, manages medical records, explains visit estimates and payment plans, and collects payments.
  9. Triage and respond to patient telephone calls, prioritizing and documenting appropriately.
  10. Performs other duties within the scope of the role as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited nursing school.

Required Licensure and Certifications: Current RN license from the state licensing board and BLS certification.

Pay Range

$27.70 - $40.17 per hour
