Turner Industries seeks an Advanced Rigger for an upcoming TAR in Old Ocean, TX. Non-exempt role; reports to the Site Manager. You will assemble rigging systems, select appropriate hardware, and guide crane operators to move loads safely at site.
Ideal candidates hold NCCER Advanced Gold Card or NCCCO Rigging 1 & 2 certifications and can pass health and drug screens, with 5–8s pre and 7–10s during TAR. Local candidates preferred, no per diem.

Turner Industries is seeking an Advanced Rigger for an upcoming TAR in Old Ocean, TX. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Site Manager / Area Safety Manager; Assigned duties according to specific procedures/work is checked frequently.
No Per Diem, ideal for local candidates.
Assembles rigging to lift and move equipment or material on construction projects.
Selects cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved; attaches pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, with bolts and clamps; attaches load with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains, to crane hook; gives directions to equipment operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure the safety of workers and material handles, using hand signals, loudspeaker or telephone; sets up, braces and rigs hoisting equipment; splices rope and wire to make repair slings and tackles; may direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment into ships, railroad cars or trucks.
Employee may be required to provide the following: tool box, crescent wrenches, tape, spud wrenches, hammer, tri square, striker, burning goggles, tip cleaners, work gloves, framing square, level, torpedo level, center punch, channel locks, set of combination wrenches, pipe wrench, hacksaw, rain suit.
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
