Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking an experienced Advanced RF Repair Technician to join the ATMC Austin repair facility. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, testing, and verifying RF matchers, generators, and related high-power components at the board and subsystem level.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in bench repair of RF systems, strong knowledge of RF theory, AC/DC circuit design, and proficiency with advanced test equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree in Electronics required.
• 5+ years in bench repair for matching units and generators.
• Strong RF theory and AC/DC circuit design knowledge.
• Experience with RF repair in semiconductor equipment preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose down to component level.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex RF equipment at the component level.
• Perform root cause analysis and failure analysis on RF matchers and generators.
• Modify and test sub-components to meet specs.
• Operate advanced diagnostic instrumentation and document results.
• Independently complete repairs with minimal supervision.
• Maintain internal documentation and communicate with stakeholders.
