PRN - Days 7a-7p

The community you’ll be caring for:

• Winter Park Memorial Hospital has served the residents of Winter Park and surrounding communities for over 50 years.
• Founded in 1951, it has grown into a 307-bed acute care facility focused on community health and wellness.
• The hospital has expanded to include obstetrics, Level II Neonatal Intensive Care, cancer care, and state-of-the-art surgery and rehabilitation services.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Advanced/Registered Respiratory Therapist assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. They may lead in the absence of a Lead Therapist or Supervisor, depending on the situation. The role involves caring for specific age groups as detailed in the responsibilities.

• Complete required orientation, airway management certification, critical care training, and proficiency exams.
• Practice safety and document procedures accurately to meet quality standards.
• Respond promptly to Code Blue emergencies, providing CPR and airway management.
• Use assessment skills and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize therapy efficacy.
• Manage mechanical ventilators and perform hemodynamic procedures as needed.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Active and Current Florida State License as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred qualifications:

• Active RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Active RRT-ACCS credential.
• Current NRP certification for Winter Park and East Orlando locations.
