Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals' Kings County Hospital Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform day-to-day radiographic services within the Radiology department. You will operate x-ray equipment, develop images, and prepare radiology areas, supplies, and contrast materials as needed.

Responsibilities include supervising staff at higher levels, ensuring safety protocols, and utilizing electronic medical records to document encounters and imaging results, while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

• Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment, develop images, and prepare radiological areas, equipment, supplies and contrast materials.
• Perform higher-technical level procedures in the delivery of radiographic services; supervise assigned radiographic and ancillary personnel as needed.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure proper radiation safety, patient and employee protection.
• Utilize EMR to document patient encounters and imaging results.
