Bio‑Rad seeks a Quality Control Specialist I in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on inspecting and testing biological materials, documenting results, and ensuring GMP/GDP practices are followed in a collaborative lab setting.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s in life sciences and have 2+ years in a lab, with proficiency in ERP/LIMS data entry and cross-department collaboration for workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.
• 2+ years in a laboratory environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with clinical laboratory techniques and instruments is a plus.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
• Good time management, organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience with GMP/GDP practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test biological raw materials and manufactured intermediates by sampling.
• Review results and visually inspect materials per established procedures.
• Complete documentation clearly and accurately.
• Recognize and investigate out of specification or out of trend results and report to supervisor.
• Assist with testing improvements and changes within change management.
• Enter results into ERP system and LIMS as required.
• Follow good laboratory practices and procedures.
• Work in a team environment and interface with other departments as required.
