Job summary

A leading battery technology company is seeking a Mid-Senior level role focused on customer requirements and battery pack design in the Detroit area. This full-time position requires a bachelor's degree, at least 3 years in the EV industry, and familiarity with mechanical design. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a US green card or citizenship.

Qualifications

Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Responsible for customer requirement communication, requirement analysis, initial concept design, and customer project progress tracking;
• Responsible for the design of battery packs and module by using the V-shaped development mode;
• Lead the technical risk assessment of the pack project, also be responsible for battery requirements define, decompose and distribution; Lead the pack SFMEA DFMEA and technical review; Follow up on the production verification;
• As the technical window in North America, need to collaborate with the marketing department on technical communication and new technology release, also to collect the feedback from customer and market.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in related fields such as electronics, mechanics, vehicle engineering, chemistry/electrochemistry;
• At least 3 years of working experience, have the experience in EV industry or battery development is preferred, with work experience directly related to customers is preferred;
• Be familiar with Electrical principle, at least have one skill of mechanical/thermal design/simulation, battery design or entire vehicle applications, be familiar with CAD tool and Office software applications;
• Have good learning and understanding, with an innovative and fighting spirit, clear logic; have strong language expression and coordination skills;
• English as the working language.
• Have a US green card or as a American citizen, CATU in Detroit as the working Office
