Description

The Advanced Practice Specialist ("APS") demonstrates advanced expertise in evidence-based nursing and practice, providing teaching, mentoring, consulting, leadership, and systems improvement. The APS in Enteral/Parenteral influences outcomes by offering expert consultation to care providers and implementing improvements in healthcare delivery systems. The APS exhibits a high level of professional competence in a specialized field of Enteral/Parenteral nursing practice, utilizing advanced theoretical and empirical knowledge with a scientific approach to problem-solving. The APS establishes standards for patient care and evaluates interventions to enhance care. Role components are tailored based on the patient population and the clinical and administrative needs of the clinical settings, Center for Nursing Excellence, Department of Nursing, and UCLA Health.

Salary: $140,200 - $331,800 Annually

Qualifications
  • BLS: Required
  • Current/Active CA RN License: Required
  • Current/Active CA Nurse Practitioner and National Certification in area of specialty, or MSN: Required
  • Masters degree in Nursing: Required
  • Experience: 3-5 years specialty practice experience applicable to role: Required
