Job summary

InnovaCare Physician Management Services, LLC seeks a highly qualified APRN/PA to join our patient care team in Florida. The role focuses on direct patient care, routine examinations, and coordinating with healthcare professionals to maintain accurate medical records.

The ideal candidate has an NP/PA master's degree, board certification, Florida licensure, and 2+ years of adult medicine experience. BLS certification and strong communication skills are required; Spanish fluency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in State of Florida.
• Two or more years of adult medicine experience as an NP or PA.

Responsibilities

• Treat adults who have illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and general concerns in accordance with standards of care.
• Collect, record, and maintain patient information, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other care to treat or prevent illness.
• Examine patients or order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis.
• Advise patients on diet, activity hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
• Monitor patients' conditions and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
• Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
• Perform in-clinic procedures to improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts.
• Conduct research to study anatomy and develop or test medications, treatments, or procedures.
• Spend 100% of time clinically focused on direct patient care.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the provider, the APRN/PA is responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routine examinations to ensure patient health. Their duties include speaking with their patients about healthy lifestyle choices for their age, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain updated medical records.

Essential Job Functions

• Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results adhering to HIPAA regulations
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, and disease.
• Examine patients or order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical condition and determine diagnosis.
• Advise patients, and community members concerning diet, activity hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
• Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
• Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
• Perform in-clinic procedures on patients to remove, repair, or improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.
• Conduct research to study anatomy and develop or test medications, treatments, or procedures to prevent or control disease or injury.
• Spend 100% of your time clinically focused on direct patient care, inclusive of patient facing time and general administrative time (charting, meetings, etc.) as it relates to direct patient care.

Required Qualifications
