Job summary

Mercy Urgent Care in Owensboro, KY, is seeking Advanced Practice Providers (PA-C or FNP) to join our urgent care team. You’ll practice with meaningful autonomy in a supportive, efficient environment, with no nights, Sundays, or holidays, and three 12-hour shifts per week.

You’ll independently evaluate and treat a broad range of urgent and minor conditions, order and interpret tests, develop treatment plans, and document in the EMR. We offer comprehensive benefits and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Kentucky license as PA-C or FNP.
• 1 year of urgent care or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to practice autonomously with strong clinical judgment.
• Excellent communication and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate and treat urgent and minor conditions.
• Order/interpret diagnostics, develop treatment plans, and manage follow-up.

What You’ll Do

• Apply evidence-based medicine to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient visits and a positive patient experience.
• Document accurately and efficiently in the EMR for an easy end-of-day wrap-up.

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C) or certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with an active, unrestricted Kentucky license.
• Prefer 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care, primary care, emergency medicine, or a comparable fast-paced setting.
• Comfortable practicing autonomously and confidently managing a high-volume clinical environment.
• Strong communication skills and a steady, compassionate presence with patients and colleagues.

Schedule & Compensation

• Three 12-hour shifts per week.
• No nights, Sundays, or holidays.
• Competitive base pay plus a volume-based bonus structure.
