Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians (OSUP) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient clinic team. You will collaborate with physicians to provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and care coordination for patients across acute and chronic conditions.

The role requires state licensure, NP or PA training, and prescriptive authority, with a focus on high-quality patient care, education, and safe medication management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Current Ohio Registered Nursing License
• Master’s degree in nursing or NP/PA program
• Prescriptive Authority certification
• Knowledge of triage procedures and urgent care experience
• Ability to maintain quality and infection control standards
• Knowledge of medications and patient care
• Clear written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills
• Poise, tact, and diplomacy
• Analytical thinking to gather and interpret data

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations; order labs and tests.
• Collaborate with physicians to formulate treatment plans.
• Develop patient care plans within clinical nursing practice and review medications.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing approach as needed.
• Triages clinic patient calls and informs physicians for follow-up.
