Explore an exciting opportunity with AHWFB’s Hospital Medicine Department as we welcome a skilled Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Physician Assistant to join our telehealth team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

What You’ll Do:

The Telehospitalist APP will be part of our Hospital Medicine team, responsible for patient care via the Hospitalist @ Home program and telemedicine services. Responsibilities include:

  • Determining patient care plans using medical decision-making skills.
  • Collaborating with the medical team for effective care.
  • Diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries.
  • Examining patients virtually.
  • Conducting and analyzing diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribing treatments, medications, and therapies.
  • Consulting with physicians as needed.
  • Educating patients and setting care goals.
  • Upholding AHWFB’s mission, values, and cultural commitments.
  • Performing other duties incidental to the role.

The clinician must meet licensing and credentialing requirements specific to North Carolina, including medical or nursing licensure and certifications.

  • Physician Assistant: Graduation from an accredited program, current NC Medical Board license, NCCPA certification, minimum two years hospitalist experience, outpatient experience a plus, DEA registration required.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree or higher, current NC Board of Nursing RN and NP licenses, board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, minimum two years hospitalist experience, outpatient experience a plus, DEA registration required.
