Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our outpatient Urology team at Riverside 3. The APP will provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients in the outpatient Urology clinic, seeing a mix of new and established patients and collaborating with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.

This is a full-time, weekday position with no hospital rounding, offering a collaborative, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Virginia licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as appropriate to the position.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new and established patients in the outpatient Urology clinic.
• Obtain comprehensive histories, perform exams, and assess symptoms.
• Develop treatment recommendations and management plans for urologic conditions.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and imaging results.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with urologists and healthcare team to deliver coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, patient-focused environment while providing high-quality care to patients with a wide range of urologic conditions.**Position Summary**The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients in the outpatient Urology clinic. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
