Job Description

As an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant) in neurosurgery, your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions, conducting assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, assisting in surgeries, managing pre- and post-operative care, prescribing medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams. You will also participate in research and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards.

What You’ll Do

• Use medical decision-making skills to determine patient care plans.
• Collaborate with medical teams for effective care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and explain procedures to patients.
• Perform procedural skills as per guidelines.
• Participate in research projects and precept students or learners.

Physician Assistant Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited PA program; Master's degree preferred.
• Current North Carolina Medical Board license and NCCPA certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least one year of experience in primary or urgent care.
• DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing.
