Job summary

Temple University Hospital is seeking an Experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join its Neuroscience Service Line at the Main Campus. Applicants must possess a minimum of 2 years as an APP, preferably in Critical Care or Neurosciences. This role involves providing direct patient care, diagnosis, and treatment in collaboration with a physician.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience as an APP in critical care or neuroscience preferred.
  • Must have PA-C or CRNP certifications.
  • Bachelors and Masters degrees in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in the Neuro ICU/Neuroscience Service Line.
  • Administer advanced practice care in collaboration with physicians.
  • Perform diagnosis and prescribe medical therapeutics.

Job Description - Advanced Practice Provider(PA/NP) FT 40hrs, Neuro ICU/Neurosciences Service Line (250298)

Temple University Hospital - Main Campus is looking to add an Experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to our Neuroscience Service Line. This is a new APP for our hospital due to expanding the service line. This APP can be either a Physician Assistant/ Physician Associate or a Nurse Practitioner, but they must have a minimum of 2 years experience as an APP . Critical Care (ED, ICU, Trauma) or Neuroscience experience is highly preferred.

The APP treats and evaluates patients; administers advanced practice care in a particular clinical specialty area (Neuroscience Service Line and Neuro ICU) under the direction of the licensed physician. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including diagnosis and the prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician.

Education

CRNP:

Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)
Masters Degree : Nursing (Required)

PA:


Experience
1 Year experience in clinical specialty practice in Critical Care ICU or ED, Neuroscience or Neurology (Preferred)
2 Years experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant/ physician associate (Preferred)

License/Certifications

PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant (Required if a PA)
CRNP - Pennsylvania Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner (Required if a CRNP)
RN-LIC - Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License (Required if a CRNP)
PRX-AUTH - Prescriptive Authority (Preferred)
