Job summary

Oroville Hospital seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) for a part-time Day shift. The role offers pay between $65 and $100 per hour and requires 48-55 hours per pay period. Start date open until filled.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited PA or NP program, hold current California licensure, and maintain BLS certification. ACLS preferred; primary care experience is a plus. This position emphasizes teamwork and responsive patient care within a outpatient clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current CA licensure as PA or NP, CA Board/BRN acceptable.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Recent/previous primary health care experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and problem solve.
• Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectivity with patients of all ages.
• Reliability and flexibility with work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services within the scope delegated by supervising physician.
• Consult with a physician for tasks beyond competence and refer as needed.

Qualifications:

Duties & Responsibilities:

As part of a team, the Physician Assistant/Nurse Pracitionermay only provide those medical services which he or she is competent to perform and which are consistent with the physician assistant’s education, training, and experience, and which are delegated in writing by a supervising physician who is responsible for the patients cared for by the physician assistant. The committee, division or their representative may require proof or demonstration of competence from any physician assistant for any tasks, procedure or management he or she is performing. A physician assistant shall consult with a physician regarding any task, procedure or diagnostic problem which the physician assistant determines exceeds his or her level of competence or shall refer such cases to a physician.
