Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive clinical care in a walk-in setting. The role includes conducting exams, diagnosing conditions, ordering tests, and prescribing medications while coordinating with physicians for complex cases.

The position requires national NP/PA certification, CPR, and several years of healthcare experience, with an emphasis on continuity of care and preventive services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and successful completion of accredited NP/PA program.
• National certification as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, State NP or PA license, and recertification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Four years of health care experience prior to applying to NP/PA program, plus one year as NP/PA, preferably in clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, diagnose and treat illnesses.
• Consult with physician(s) as needed and refer to physician(s) for more complicated medical cases or non-routine NP/PA scope.
• Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care.
• Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems.
• Respond to emergencies including CPR.
• Counsel patient/family on preventive health care.
• Document patient information and care in medical record.
• Serve appointed rounds in walk-in clinic.
