Job summary

Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is one of the region’s largest orthopedic and sports medicine practices, providing comprehensive care for more than 250,000 patients each year.

In August 2023, the institute opened Florida’s first dedicated orthopedic hospital, featuring 75 private inpatient rooms, 10 operating suites with four virtually connected suites that can be used to train surgeons around the world, and a state-of-the-art research and innovation center with a 10-station bio

Qualifications

• Florida NP licensure with national certification.
• Florida PA licensure with national certification.
• Maintains current BLS certification.
• Three years of Advance Practice Provider experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an advanced resource for specialty area or lead worker in clinic setting.
• Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and prescribes necessary treatment.
• Operates with a high degree of independence in provision of patient care in a specialized area.
• Assists in teaching students, residents and interns in complex techniques and procedures.
• Collaborates with other health disciplines to ensure continuity and quality of care.
