Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an advanced practice clinician to provide comprehensive pediatric care in an outpatient setting. You will perform histories and physical exams, order tests, and develop treatment plans while collaborating with physicians.

The role requires weekend-only clinic work, eligibility for APN or PA licensure in Georgia, BLS and PALS within timelines, and strong patient education skills.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care at an advanced practice level to children and their families
• Work independently in an outpatient clinic on weekends only
• Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Develop pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans
• Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, and health care professionals
• Facilitate patient referrals to other medical providers and agencies
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and other health care providers

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in pediatric healthcare preferred
• Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice or Master’s or Doctorate degree in Medical Science
• Master's degree in nursing or bachelor's degree in medical science
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or Multi-State via Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in Georgia or licensure as a Physician Assistant in Georgia
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by ANCC, AANP, PNCB, or NCCPA
• Certification as Family Nurse Practitioner may be acceptable with CNO approval
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
