Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for the MICU- Rotational track at James Cancer Hospital. The APP will deliver care in collaboration with licensed physicians, addressing acute and chronic conditions, providing education, and coordinating referrals as needed.

Ideal candidates hold an Ohio APRN license or PA-C credentials, with a Master’s in Nursing or PA education, and are ready to start in a high-demand critical care setting.

• Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio.
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Master of Science Degree in Nursing.

• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• OR Masters Prepared; Graduate of a PA-C program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination recognized by the NCCPA.
• Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff.
• Care for patients during acute and chronic illness, provide education and counseling to individuals and families.
