Job Description

MUSC Health is looking for an Endocrinology Advanced Practice Provider at the Sumter Multispecialty location. The APP will join a growing practice to deliver high-quality care to endocrinology patients.

Additional Details

• Fair Labor Standards Act Status: Salaried/Exempt
• Patient Population Focus: Outpatient
• Patient Age Range: 13 years to death

Qualifications

Training: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program, with current licensure or eligibility.

• Physician Assistant or APRN License with certifications such as BLS, DHEC, DEA.

Experience: Minimum 2 years as a PA, FNP, or ANP. Endocrinology experience preferred.

Job Duties

• Conduct comprehensive histories and physical exams.
• Evaluate and treat based on test results within scope of practice.
• Perform therapeutic procedures as authorized.
• Refer and consult with physicians as needed.
• Document and bill for care provided.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Support accreditation and compliance efforts.
• Maintain professional licensure and certifications.
• Potential preceptorship of students and new team members.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, climb, reach, lift objects up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions. Vision must be corrected to 20/40. Able to work indoors, in dusty and confined environments as needed.
