Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Critical Care/ICU Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for a 36-hour rotating full‑time schedule in Needham, MA. The role involves working with intensivists, surgeons, hospitalists, and nurses to deliver high‑quality ICU care.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with a PA/NP program, MA licensure, BLS/ACLS, and ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + completion of an accredited 2-year PA or NP program.
• Current MA Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 0–1 years ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take histories and physicals; assess patient progress and coordinate care with intensivists.
• Perform ICU procedures such as central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, bladder catheterization, phlebotomy, IVs, and EKGs.
• Lead or participate in daily rounds and document in the EMR.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals, provide support to patients and families.
