UVA Health System is seeking an Interventional Pulmonology Advanced Practice Provider to collaborate with physicians in managing lung conditions. This role includes outpatient responsibilities and potential inpatient care, emphasizing patient education and multidisciplinary teamwork.
The Interventional Pulmonology (IP) Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate with IP physicians to manage lung nodules, lung masses, lymphadenopathy, complex airway disease, pleural effusions, and emphysema. The role initially involves outpatient responsibilities, with potential inpatient care as the UVA IP program expands. Our team operates within a multidisciplinary environment including general pulmonary, thoracic surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology.
M-F, days; no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call duties.
Perform assessments, diagnostics, procedures within scope, order treatments, and provide patient education. Participate in on-call duties, quality assurance, committee work, and educational activities. Maintain compliance with policies and continue professional development.
Prolonged standing, bending, reaching, repetitive motions, and lifting 50-100 lbs. May be exposed to various hazards including infectious materials.
