Job summary

Village Heart & Vein in Lady Lake, FL is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide outpatient cardiovascular care in a physician-led practice. The role offers weekday clinic hours with no call, no weekend coverage, and strong autonomy supported by a collaborative cardiology team.

Experience in cardiology is preferred, and applicants should hold an active Florida license or be eligible. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active Florida license or ability to obtain one before starting.
• Previous cardiology experience as an APP preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiovascular evaluations and routine follow-up visits.
• Manage conditions such as CAD, heart failure, hypertension, and atrial fibrillation.
• Review EKGs, cardiac testing, imaging, and laboratory findings.
• Prescribe and adjust medications while monitoring treatment response.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with cardiologists.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, and ongoing care.
• Counsel patients on medications, cardiovascular conditions, and heart-healthy lifestyle changes.
