Ashford Connex, LLC invites a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Foley Cancer Center in Rutland, Vermont. The role spans outpatient, inpatient, ED, and telehealth oncology care in a collaborative hospital setting.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with on-call one weekend per month, a competitive salary, sign-on, relocation, and loan assistance. Experience in oncology and VT licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years NP/PA oncology or related experience.
• Vermont licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Unit-specific certifications (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC as applicable).
• Completion of patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oncology patient care under a collaborative physician partnership.
• Obtain detailed medical histories and perform focused physical examinations.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage oncology-related conditions and treatment side effects.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory findings.
• Develop and implement treatment and symptom management plans.
• Provide patient and family-centered education and counseling.
• Coordinate care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and clinical communication.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. No weeknight call; one weekend per month on-call coverage.

Location: Rutland, Vermont

This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive oncology care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment across outpatient clinic, inpatient, emergency department, and telehealth settings.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oncology patient care under collaborative physician partnership

For Physician Assistants:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program
• Registered with the Vermont State Board of Medical Practice
• NCCPA certification

For All Candidates:

• Minimum 2 years of NP or PA experience in oncology or related specialty preferred
• Vermont licensure (or ability to obtain)
• Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC as applicable)
• Completion of patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint certification per department guidelines
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
