Job summary

Florida Heart & Vascular, part of Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA), is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cardiovascular team serving Broward County in Fort Lauderdale.

The position offers a mix of outpatient clinic and hospital work across electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, imaging, diagnostics, and preventive cardiology, with mentorship and hands-on training to support career growth.

Qualifications

• Board‑Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active Florida license or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Cardiology experience preferred but not required.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong interest in cardiovascular medicine.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in clinic and hospital settings.
• Conduct new patient evaluations, follow-ups, hospital rounding, and cardiovascular consults.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing including EKGs, labs, imaging, and stress testing.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.
• Manage medications and provide patient and family education.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and referring providers.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.

Florida Heart & Vascular is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing cardiovascular team serving Broward County.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work across both outpatient clinic and hospital settings while gaining exposure to a broad range of cardiovascular subspecialties, including electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging, diagnostics, and preventive cardiology. Providers work alongside experienced cardiologists and APPs in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional cardiovascular care.
