Position: Advanced Practice Provider, Neurosurgery
Shift: Full time - 40 hours a week, M-F - weekend requirement, no holidays!
Experience:
Physician Assistant - Two (2) years' experience as physician assistant or Board eligible graduate preferred. Demonstrated ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary environment
Nurse Practitioner - Two (2) years' experience as Nurse Practitioner preferred. A minimum of two years nursing experience in specific clinical area preferred.
Education:
Nurse Practitioner - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program required. MSN required.
Physician Assistant - Bachelor's degree or more is required. Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program.
Licensures/Certifications:
Physician Assistant:
* Must be certified or new graduate who is eligible for certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants).
* Active license with Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.
Nurse Practitioner:
* Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program required.
* MSN required.
* Must be Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
* Active license with Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.
For Both Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners:
* BLS certification required.
* ACLS certification required
* ENLS certification is highly recommended.
* ATLS certification recommended.
* Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.
