Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the outpatient neurology team. Experience in general neurology and collaborative supervision by physicians are required.

The program includes a multidisciplinary neuroscience institute with extensive neurologic services and a commitment to patient-centered care. Proficiency in EPIC and ongoing professional development are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• National APRN certification OR PA board certification.
• Current Florida PA/APRN license.
• 2+ years of general Neurology experience.
• BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments including history, physical exams, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
• Manage chronic conditions such as dementia, headaches, movement disorders, radiculopathy, and peripheral nerve disease.
• Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
• Coordinate care with other providers and specialties.
• Document all patient encounters in the EMR.
• Maintain compliance with policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards.

Position Summary

We are seeking a n experienced an d compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our outpatient neurology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in general Neurology will work collaboratively under the supervision of the physician and other healthcare professionals to deliver high- quality, patient-centered care.

The Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute at Holy Cross H ealth is home to 8 Neurologists , 2 Neurosurgeons, 2 Interventional Neuroradiologists and 8 Advanced Practice Providers , providing a vast array of neurological services including multi-disciplinary clinics for ALS and Parkinson’s Disease. Our service line also includes Neuro C ritical C are, I nterventional S pine and P ain, and an Inpatient R ehabilitation U nit. We are a Joint Commission certified Thrombectomy-capable stroke cente r.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
• National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.
• 2+ years of general Neurology or related experience required
• BLS/ACLS
