Advanced Practice Provider - ICU (Night Shift)

UPMC Central PA is seeking a skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) team at our flagship Harrisburg campus. This is a dynamic opportunity to provide life-saving care in a high-acuity setting with the backing of a nationally recognized health system.

Position Highlights
  • Patient Load: CTICU census of 6-10, management of cardiac surgery patients, stat consults, and ER admissions to cardiac surgery
  • No Outpatient Call: Focus entirely on inpatient care and critical interventions
  • Procedural Skill Utilization: Central and arterial line cannulation, ventilator management, airway management, and point-of-care ultrasound preferred
  • Clinical Leadership: Identify and drive opportunities for innovation in care delivery and workflow improvement
  • Support Network: Full specialty support and seamless care coordination through system-wide EPIC EMR


What We're Looking For
  • Qualifications:
    • CRNP (ACNP, ACNPC-AG, or AGACNP certified) or Physician Assistant
    • 2+ years of critical care experience required - Management of cardiac surgery post-op management required
    • Current ACLS certification
    • Clinical confidence, autonomy, and the ability to manage rapidly changing patient needs
    • Passion for high-quality, compassionate care in a collaborative, team-oriented setting
