Endeavor Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) for hospitalist coverage in Evanston. This inpatient role requires collaboration with physicians, ordering/ interpreting diagnostics, and managing patient care from admission through discharge.

Licensure in IL (APN/PA) with DEA/CS licenses, and BLS/ACLS certifications are required. Prior hospitalist experience is preferred. Competitive benefits and a supportive team environment are provided.

• License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
• Education: Completion of master’s level program in specialty area

• Experience: Prior Hospitalist APN/PA experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients under the direction of collaborating physicians in the hospitalist setting.
• Order imaging, labs, and diagnostic procedures and interpret results to guide treatment.
• Instruct patients on prescribed therapies and pre/post operative instructions and maintain comprehensive records.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes and contribute to service line goals

$57.76 - $80.86 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

$57.76 - $80.86 USD Hourly - As a valued member of an integrated team, your placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to FTE, prior experience, certifications, degrees, subspecialties, projected volumes, and quality performance.

Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Hospital Medicine Department. Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Promotes wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.
