Job summary

Aultman Health System in Canton, Ohio is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to deliver inpatient hospitalist care during the night shift (7p-7a). The role collaborates with hospitalist physicians to admit, discharge, and manage patient care during the stay and provide consultation as requested.

Candidates must be licensed in Ohio as APRN or PA, with strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills; acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as either an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Ohio.
• Minimum one year in Acute Care setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills; strong organization skills; ability to stimulate new ideas and create an environment of teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Admit, discharge, and care for patients during their stay in collaboration with hospitalist physicians and provide requested consultations.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, primary care providers, nurses and other clinicians to coordinate patient care.
• Deliver individualized goal-directed nursing care through thorough assessment.
• Participate in daily huddles and division meetings to support high-quality patient care and work-life balance.

Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider - Hospitalist - Night Shift (7p-7a)

Position Highlights

• Full-time, hospital-employed position within the Aultman Health System


• Collaborates with the hospitalist physicians to admit, discharge, and care for patients during their stay as well as provide consultation services as requested


• Demonstrates ability to competently provide individualized goal directed nursing care to patients through assessment.


• Partner with community primary care providers, various medical/surgical specialties, nurses and other healthcare ancillary team members to coordinate and administer care to Aultman patients


• Structured support system- featuring brief daily huddles, regular division meetings, and an annual offsite retreat- ensures that our providers can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining a sustainable work-life balance.

Position Qualifications
