Job summary

UTMB Health seeks a High Risk Obstetrics Advanced Practice Provider (NP, PA or CNM) for the Regional Women's Services & Pediatrics (RWSP) Program. The role involves clinical care across women and children, with potential cross-coverage to clinics in the region.

Position requires Master’s in Nursing or PA studies, Texas licensure, and board certification. Provides leadership in care, education, and health promotion within RWSP.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing (FNP/WHNP) or Master's in PA studies required or equivalent.
• ARC-PA accreditation for PA program or ACEN/CCNE accreditation for NP path depending on track.
• Active Texas license and board certification required (NCCPA, TBON/TBP) and APRN/NP licensure for respective path.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care to women and/or children in RWSP.
• Collaborate with unit physician under approved protocols.
• Perform health assessments, diagnoses, interventions, education and counseling.
• Establish therapeutic relationships and promote high quality care in RWSP.
• Cross-coverage to other clinics within region as needed.
