Job summary

University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center seeks a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine in Dallas. The role emphasizes high-risk pregnancy care, patient education, and collaboration with physicians in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, orders, diagnostics, treatment plans, and coordination of care, while contributing to research and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification and Texas PA license upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hospital-based care with focus on patient throughput and coordination.
• Take medical histories, perform exams, order and interpret tests, treat illnesses.
• Prescribe medications and educate patients and families.
• Conduct initial and ongoing physical examinations and document findings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and participate in quality initiatives.
