Job summary

Prime Healthcare at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Hematology/Oncology team. You will deliver direct patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in education and care planning.

Qualifying candidates hold IL licensure as NP/PA with certification in specialty (or ability to obtain). Oncology/hematology experience is preferred and a strong communication style is essential.

• Illinois licensure as NP or PA is required.
• Certification in specialty required (or ability to obtain).
• Prior oncology/hematology experience or strong interest preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Role

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of oncology/hematology patients.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
• Participate in patient education, care planning, and ongoing support.
• Support clinical and operational initiatives that enhance the patient experience and outcomes.
• Annual Salary: $125,000 – $140,000 (commensurate with experience)
• Competitive base compensation plus sign-on bonus for eligible candidates
• Annual CME allowance with paid CME days
• Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage
• 32 days of paid time off (vacation, holidays, and CME combined)

Qualifications

• Current Illinois licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Certification in area of specialty required (or ability to obtain).
• Prior experience in oncology/hematology or a strong interest in the specialty preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
