Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant-Certified to join the Hematology/Oncology Department on a full-time basis.

You will conduct examinations, diagnose conditions, order treatments, and provide patient education while working with a dedicated team to improve patient outcomes. This role emphasizes high-quality, compassionate care with a stable daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license or Physician Associate license.
• Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Clinical oncology knowledge preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
• Excellent communication, professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education.
• Assess patient health concerns; diagnose and determine treatment plan.

Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa’s Department of Hematology/Oncology has a full-time position available for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Associate-Certified. This Provider will provide services by performing the following duties:

• Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education.
• Assess patient health concerns; diagnose and determine treatment plan.
• Order treatment, therapy and prescriptions as needed.
• Obtains patient histories and develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Provides health education to families, and/or community health practitioners and groups within area of specialty.
• Support quality care and positive patient outcomes for general Hematology Oncology patients.

Qualifications:

• Clinical expertise in the management of acute and chronic conditions related to cancer and blood disorders, preferred.
• Previous oncology experience and oncology certification preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
• Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
• Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
