Job summary

UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Headache Medicine team. The role involves evaluating and managing a wide range of headache disorders and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Clinical duties may include Botox injections for chronic migraine and nerve blocks, with a focus on teaching health care students and advancing treatment options in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctorate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current IL licensure as NP or PA, or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Clinical experience in neurology, pain management, or internal medicine preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and procedural skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation and management of headache disorders including migraine, cluster headaches, concussion care and tension-type headaches.
• Potential administration of Botox injections for chronic migraine and nerve blocks.
• Collaborate with pain management, physical therapy, and behavioral health to provide comprehensive care plans.
• Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic tools to support decision-making.
• Partner with physicians and referring providers for timely patient care.
• Participate in patient education and support to improve self-management of chronic headaches.
• Teach health care students at all levels of education.

UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our expanding Headache Medicine team. As a leading provider of neurological care, we are committed to advancing headache and migraine treatments through patient-centered care and innovative therapies. • Collaboration with pain management, physical therapy, and behavioral health specialists to provide comprehensive care plans

• Partnering with physicians and referring providers to ensure timely and effective patient care
• Participation in patient education and support efforts to improve self-management of chronic headache conditions
• Teaching health care students at all levels of education
