Job summary

Jobtailor in Ohio is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant or APRN to join hospital-based inpatient and ambulatory cardiology teams. You will collaborate with physicians to evaluate and treat acutely ill and chronically ill patients, perform procedures as appropriate, and ensure safe, high-quality care.

This role requires NCCPA certification (or ANCC/AANP/AACN for APRNs), Ohio PA or APRN licensure, BLS, and a supervision agreement.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• Current Physician Assistant license to practice in Ohio, or current APRN license in Ohio.
• NCCPA certification for PAs or ANCC/AANP/AACN for APRNs.
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association.
• CNP Certification.
• Supervision Agreement or Standard Care Arrangement with a physician.
• Practice within applicable state laws and delineation of privileges.

Job description

• Collaborate with physicians in hospital-based inpatient settings
• Care for acute, chronically ill, or injured patients
• Perform minimally invasive procedures as applicable
• Independently see new and established cardiology patients in the ambulatory setting
• Work under physician direction and consultation/collaboration
• Perform services authorized by the supervising/collaborating physician within the physician's normal course of practice and expertise
• Promote quality outcomes and initiatives
• Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as a High Reliability Organization

Requirements

• Master's Degree
• Current Physician Assistant License to practice in Ohio, maintained through the State Medical Board of Ohio; OR current APRN license to practice from the Ohio Board of Nursing, maintained through the State Nursing Board of Ohio
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PAs; OR current certification from ANCC, AANP, or AACN for APRNs
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• CNP - Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board
• Supervision Agreement (SA) or Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) with a physician in like practice
• Practice within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, SA/SCA, and delineation of privileges
