Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) performs duties independently following established procedures, referring questionable situations to physicians within the Neurosurgery department for inpatient and outpatient settings. The APP provides assessment, diagnosis, and management to improve patient health and reports safety issues such as hazards and medical errors.

Qualifications:
  • Current Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant in New Jersey
  • CDS, DEA, BLS & ACLS Certifications
  • 2-3 years of inpatient, acute care, and neurosurgery experience
Scheduling and Responsibilities:
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week, including weekends and holidays
  • On-call rotation as needed
  • Perform ICU and floor rounding, bedside procedures, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, and manage neurosurgical consults
