Riverside Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join the Neurology team in Gloucester, Virginia. This full-time role offers a competitive range ($115,000–$150,000 annually) with incentives and is based in a collaborative, patient‑centered care environment.
The position supports outpatient and inpatient neurology services, with responsibilities including assessments, diagnostic orders, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Virginia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license.
- National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult‑Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, including Family Nurse Practitioners) to join our Neurology team in Gloucester, Virginia.
Our Neurology team is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the brain and nervous system, including memory disorders, sleep medicine, headache management, and epilepsy.
Through a collaborative, team-based approach, we provide comprehensive and coordinated care across the continuum, from hospitalization through outpatient treatment and follow-up services.
The Advanced Practice Provider will work closely with the neurologist and interdisciplinary care team to evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments and examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing patient management.

As an integral member of Riverside’s Comprehensive Neurosciences Program, the Advanced Practice Provider contributes to exceptional patient care, clinical excellence, and positive patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current or eligible Virginia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license
- National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current or eligible Virginia Physician Assistant license
- National certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Eligible for Virginia licensure at the time of hire
- Drug Enforcement Administration registration, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification preferred based on practice setting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
- Collaborative approach with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary teams
