Job summary

Qualifications

  • Licensed as Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).

Job Summary

Join AFC Urgent Care as an advanced practice provider, where your expertise will directly impact patient care across diverse populations. In this vital role you will provide rapid, high-quality, non-life-threatening medical care, evaluating patients, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing treatments in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities
  • Examine patients, obtain and document accurate medical history, address patients' concerns, and answer patients' questions.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified medical conditions.
  • Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up to date before prescribing medication/treatment.
  • Perform any minor procedures necessary for patient management, including but not limited to suturing, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, etc.
  • Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
  • Complete patients' charts and information to reflect current findings and treatments.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree from an Accredited University
  • Licensed as Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) OR Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner OR Board-Certified Physician's Assistant
  • Current Texas State License
  • 1+ years’ experience in Urgent Care preferred
  • DOT Certification preferred
