Job summary

Prevea Health in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Back Advanced Practice Provider - ENT to join our surgical care team. The provider works with surgeons in both inpatient and outpatient settings to support pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.

The role includes performing procedures, postoperative follow-up, coordinating care, and documenting in the electronic medical record while collaborating with other clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures as a first or second assist, adhering to aseptic techniques and surgical protocols.
• Perform surgical procedures under supervision or independently, as per scope of practice and credentialing.
• Provide postoperative follow-up care, including wound management, suture/staple removal, and patient education.
• Provide services as appropriate to assigned specialty, which may include ordering diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing pharmacological agents, and other non-pharmacological treatment modalities.
• Provide assessment, evaluation, and management to patients that may include but is not limited to minor, acute, chronic, and episodic illness & injuries, including performance of follow-up exams.
• Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information, documenting all details in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and other providers to develop and implement patient care plans to ensure the best possible care and outcomes for patients.
• Provide case management services to assist clients and families with arrangements for, or referral of patients to, needed services.
• Collaborate with patients to review their health background and wellness, provide health counseling and education, and determine physiological, emotional, and environmental needs, using this information to advise patients and their families.
