Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in Endocrinology to join the outpatient team.

Under the supervision of collaborating physicians, you will provide comprehensive care, perform histories, exams, order imaging and labs, interpret results, and guide patients through treatment plans.

This full-time role offers a robust training program, no weekends or on-call, and a benefits package including tuition reimbursement and a health savings account.

Qualifications

• Active IL APN or PA licensure required.
• Master's level degree in specialty area.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Prior APN/PA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CGM and insulin pump therapy preferred.
• Experience in outpatient endocrinology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in endocrinology under physician supervision.
• Obtain histories, perform exams, and order imaging and labs.
• Interpret results and instruct patients on regimens.
• Maintain records and progress notes throughout care.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team for outcomes.
• Prescribe therapies under protocol as appropriate.

Hours: Approximately 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday- Friday No Weekends, No Evenings, No Call Required

Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Endocrinology Department. Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Promotes wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
• Education: Completion of master’s level program in specialty area
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience: Prior APN/PA experience preferred
• Special Knowledge and Skills Required: Preferred knowledge of continuous glucose monitors and insulin pump therapy.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an outpatient or community health setting in Endocrinology
