Job summary

WellSpan Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Emergency Department in Gettysburg. The role involves evaluating and stabilizing patients across a wide spectrum of emergencies, including trauma, cardiac, and neurological events.

You will perform advanced procedures as needed and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Qualifications include certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant; inpatient and emergency

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Inpatient and emergency department experience preferred.
• Education: NP requires Master’s; PA requires Bachelor’s (and Master’s preferred).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and stabilize patients across a wide range of emergencies.
• Perform advanced procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
• Care for patients of all ages in the ED.

Minimum Education

• Masters Degree For Nurse Practitioner. Required or
• Bachelors Degree For Physician Assistant. Required
• Masters Degree For Physician Assistant. Preferred
  

Work Experience

• 1 year Relevant experience. Required
  

Licenses

• Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
• Licensed Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required and
• Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required
  

Courses And Training

• BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and
• Nurse Practitioner - Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners and appropriate clinical specialty certification. Upon Hire Required or
• Physician Assistant - Graduate of accredited physician assistant program Upon Hire Required
