Brown University Health is seeking a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join their Emergency Department team in Providence, Rhode Island. The successful candidate will participate in patient care including diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate service.
Candidates must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies or an accredited Nurse Practitioner’s Program, along with a current Massachusetts license. Experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care is required, and a collaborative working ethos is essential.
The role involves obtaining patient histories, performing examinations, and implementing treatment plans in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Chief of Emergency Medicine and working as part of the Emergency Department team, the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will participate in all aspects of care including diagnosis, treatment and disposition with a particular focus on compassionate and courteous service.

Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants is required or master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner’s Program.
Current Massachusetts license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
Minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively alongside our Emergency Physicians.
