Overview

Job Description: Provide competent, age specific health care to women and children in the Regional Women’s Services and Pediatrics (RWSP) healthcare program.

Responsibilities

Provide primary health care to the patient and family throughout the course of care. Use the processes of assessment, diagnosis, management, and evaluation to provide care that integrates the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient and family. Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client and family. Plan, develop, coordinate, and provide appropriate health education and counseling in response to patient needs. Contribute to the advancement of the profession, seek to ensure high quality care within the RWSP, and demonstrate leadership skills in achieving improved outcomes for all clients and their families. Responsible for the health care provided and will utilize age specific developmental principles when providing care.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s in Nursing, FNP, WHNP or Master’s in Physician Assistant studies

Licensed in the State of Texas with Board Certification

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years nursing experience in Women’s Care, Obstetrics, Antepartum, Postpartum care, Dysplasia and/or Pediatrics in either inpatient or ambulatory setting.

Salary

Commensurate with experience.
