We have an immediate need for a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider for our Colorado Springs, CO locations.

Our providers do not work nights, weekends or on-call.

Responsibilities

  • Working under the supervision of and in collaboration with CPIhealth physicians, diagnose symptoms and implement treatment plans to reduce pain and restore function.
  • Perform medical histories, examine, and treat patients as part of a healthcare team.
  • Ensure safe and compliant clinical and surgical procedures are provided to patients utilizing the following:
  • Evaluation – elicit a detailed and accurate history; perform an appropriate physical examination; order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies; define problems; develop management plans; and record and present data.
  • Monitoring – implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and participate in the provision of the continuity of care.
  • Patient Education – counsel and educate patients regarding issues of health care management, to include compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, interventional procedures, and ancillary services (i.e. physical therapy, bracing, TENS).
  • See new patients, as needed, accurately complete H&P, HPI, vitals, preliminary diagnosis and POC.
  • Follow up with existing patients in a timely manner to discuss improvements from a psychological, social, interventional, and opioid perspective.
  • Perform hospital consults on CPIhealth patients as requested by CPIhealth physician and per call schedule.
  • Provide appropriate professional referrals to physicians, therapists, and imaging.
  • Follow safe clinical procedures and make correct non-compliance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Document patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Confer with physician on assessment, diagnosis, and plan of treatment.
  • Ensure timely follow up with patient care by making sure support staff are aware of the Plan of Treatment.
  • Maintain contact with referring and primary Physicians. Participate in marketing activities.
  • Attend regularly scheduled company and peer meetings.
  • Provide coverage and support to facilities not regularly scheduled.
  • Maintain professional credentials and take a leadership role in peer education.
  • Staff and peer training and motivation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

Requirements

  • Must hold full prescriptive authority to prescribe medications independently in the State of Colorado.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.
  • Excellent bedside manner, emotional stability, and the ability to make decisions in emergencies.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent judgment.
  • The ability to contribute in a team environment and to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, meet internal and external deadlines and produce a consistently high-quality product.
  • Computer savvy – MS Office and Practice Management Software knowledge preferred.
  • Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse Licensure/Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination
  • Valid ARNP Licensure/PA License.
  • Valid unencumbered DEA License with full prescriptive authority in the State of Colorado.
  • BLS certified or obtain certification within three months of hire.
  • ACLS certificated or obtain certification within the first year of hire.

Dress Code: Business Casual or Scrubs

Salary: Starting at $105K | Depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time; Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5 pm; Friday 8 am to 12 pm
